Kiss & Tell

Materials Needed:
Seed beads 8/o (size 3) - Core beads
Seed beads 11/o  or 15/o(size 2 or 1) - Outer beads
Bicone 4mm
Fishing Line 0.25 or 0.30
Beading Needle size 11 or 12

Stage 1- BASIC SPIRAL ROPE.

We'll start by making a basic spiral rope.

There are 2 sets of beads in spiral rope - Core beads & Outer beads.
Core beads run through the centre of the rope, these are usually same colour & size throughout.
Outer beads spiral around the core beads & can be one colour & bead type or a combination of several. You can achieve a multitude of different effects simply by changing the combination of colours, sizes & types of beads you use.

STEP 1:

With a comfortable length of thread, pick up 4 core beads and 4 outer beads. Slide them down the thread leaving a tail of about 8-10".

Sew through the 4 core beads once more, in the same direction.

STEP 2: Position the beads so that the outer beads are on the right.
Pick up 1 core bead and 4 outer beads. Keeping the first set of outer beads pushed to the right, sew through the top 3 core beads.

STEP 3: Sew through the single core bead that you just added before pulling the thread snug.

STEP4: Pick up 1 core bead & 4 outer beads. Sew through the top 3 core beads & the single core bead that you just added, then pull the thread snug.

STEP5: Repeat steps 4 until the rope is as long as you need, pushing the outer beads to the right each time.

Note: You can push the outer beads to the left if you prefer, just make sure you push them all in the same direction throughout the rope.

Stage 2

STEP 6: Thread a needle and knot it. On the spiral rope you've created using step 1 to 5, pass your needle into 4 outer core beads(starting from the 2nd) like in the picture.

STEP 7: Pick up 4 seed beads and 1 bicone bead(or any other bead of choice).

Step 8: Pass your needle back into the 4 seed beads picked in the previous step.

Step 9: Now pass your needle back into the 4 outer beads again.

STEP 10: Now pass your needle into the 1st outer seed bead that you skipped in step 6.

STEP 11: On the next line, skip the first bead and pass your needle through the remaining 4 outer seed beads (just like in step 6).

STEP 12: Pick up 4 seed beads and 1 bicone.

STEP 13: Pass your needle back into the 4 seed beads picked in step 12.

Always remember to pull snug(pull tight).

STEP 14: Pass the needle back into the 4 outer beads that was passed through in step 11.
Then pass it into the outer bead that was skipped in step 11.

STEP 15: Repeat Steps 11 to 14 until you've reached the end of the spiral rope created in STAGE 1.

Stage 3

STEP 16: Thread a needle, knot the thread and pass the needle (from bottom to top) into the first bicone added in step 8.

STEP 17: With your needle coming out of the first bicone, pick another bicone.

STEP 18: Then pass your needle into the next bicone.

STEP 19: Repeat STEPS 17 and 18 until your chosen length.

Final Stage:
STEP 20: Thread a needle, knot the thread and pass the needle into the 1st bicone from top to bottom.

Step 21: Pick 9 seed beads.

Note: The number of seed beads you pick in step 7 and step 21 is dependent on the distance between 3 crystals and how big you want the spirals to be.

STEP 22: Then pass the needle into the 3rd bicone from top to bottom.

STEP 23: Pick up 9 seed beads and pass the needle into the 2nd bicone from top to bottom.

STEP 24: Pick up 9 seed beads again and pass your needle into the 5th bicone.

STEP 25: Repeat steps 23 and 24 till the end of your chosen length.

Note: The sequence is from
1st to 3rd,
3rd to 2nd,
2nd to 5th,
5th to 4th,
4th to 7th,
7th to 6th,
6th to 9th,
9th to 8th and so on

Necklace Anna

I learnt to make this on Beads Magic. I got the pictorial there but included step by step instructions for better understanding.
Enjoy.

Materials needed

Pearl beads 3mm
Pearl beads 6mm
Seed beads 10/o or 11/o (size 1)
Fishing line(0.20 or 0.25)
Beading Needle

 Step 1 :
Thread your needle and pick up 14 seedbeads.
Make sure you leave a tail of about 6inch long. It will be used when you want to add your clasp.

Step. 2:
After picking up 14 beads, pass your needle back throuh bead 13
Pick 4 seedbeads and 1 3mm bead
Then pass your needle back through bead 9.

Step 3:
Your needle is currently exiting bead 9. Pick up 3 seed beads, one 3mm bead.
Pass your needle back into bead 2 and bead 1.

Pick up 4 seedbeads (the last bead picked is number 27)
Pass the needle back through the third bead picked(bead number 26)

Pick up 3 seedbeads
And pass your needle through bead number 22.

Step 4:
Pick up 6 seed beads.(the 4th bead is D).
Pass your needle through the bead numbered 18 in the previous diagram

Pick up 9 beads.(the 4th bead is A)
Pass your needle back into the bead before the last bead (B).

Pick up 4 seed beads and one 3mm bead.
Then pass your needle back through A.

Pick up 3 seed beads(the 3rd bead is C) and one 3mm bead.
Then pass your needle through D.

Now your needle is exiting the bead labelled D.
Pick up 5 seed beads, then pass your needle back through the bead before the last bead(E).

Pick up 3 seed beads and pass your needle through the bead labelled C.

Repeat step 4 until you get your desired length.

This part we've just finished making will form the lower part of our bead work.

Step 6:
Thread another needle. Leaving a 6-inch tail, pick up 14 seed beads(Note the labels on the 1st, 2nd, 9th and 14th beads)
Pass your needle back through the 13th bead (the bead before the last bead D).

Pick up 4 seedbeads and one 3mm bead.
Then pass your needle through the bead labelled C.

Pick up 3 seedbeads and one 3mm beads and pass your needle through the bead labelled B and A(the 2nd and first bead strung @ d beginning of this step).

Now your needle is exiting the bead labelled A.

Pick up 3 seed beads and pass your needle into the top bead (numbered 27 in step 3 of this tutorial) of the first part of the bead we finished in step 5.

Your needle is exiting the bead numbered 27.

Pass your needle back into the last seedbead you added.

Pick up 3 seed beads.

Pass your needle through the seedbead labelled E.

Pick up 3 seedbeads.

Step 7:
Pick up 3 seedbeads (the 1st seedbead has been labelled A)

Pass your needle through the bead labelled B.

Pick up 9 seedbeads & pass the needle back through the bead before the last one strung(D).

Pick up 4 seedbeads & one 3mm bead.

Then pass your needle through the bead labelled C.

Pick up 3 seed beads & one 3mm. Pass your needle through the 1st bead strung in this step, that's A.

Your thread should be exiting from the bead labelled A.

Pick up 4 seedbeads.
Pass the needle into the top bead of the first part we completed in step 5. It's labelled F.

Pick up 3 seedbeads and pass the needle back through the bead labelled E.

Then pick up 3 seed beads.

 Step 8:
Repeat step 7 until it's complete
 Step 9:
Look @ the diagram. Take note of the beads I labelled A, B, C & D.

Thread a needle and pass it through the bead labelled A(that's the bead numbered 27 in step 6)
Pick up 2 seed beads, one 3mm & 10 seed beads.

Pass your needle back through  bead number 2.

Pick up 5 seed beads & CRISS-CROSS your thread with the bead labelled C. I mean, pass your thread  through the right side of bead C.

And back into bead 18.

Pick up 4 seedbeads and then pass your needle through bead number 4.

Pick up one seed bead and pass your needle into the next connecting bead labelled D.

Repeat step 9 until it's complete.

Any Questions???

... And that's it.

It took time and effort to break the original tutorial into steps so that we could all understand. I pray my efforts don't go to waste.
